Home Study for ALL of my Classes

The coming days and weeks, no doubt, will be filled with uncertainty. We are all in this together. (Please disregard the High School Musical reference.) My English Department colleagues and I met this morning and ALL agreed that we will do our best to finish up our Shakespearean studies in our Academic English courses. It's not ideal but with my support as well as other resources I'll link, it is doable. We have also agreed to assign weekly Personal Response Writing in our Practical English courses. I know it's easy for me to say "business as usual" but I do have expectations that we should be ready to pick up from where we left off upon our return to school if at all possible. I will be doing recaps and review.

With the exception of today, I will be doing updates to this page on Mondays of each week. I will post on the main page of the blog to denote when updates have been made.

Take care!
Mrs. Pittman

**As of May 25 and according to the NLESD Director of Education Tony Stack, home-learning plans will be suspended June 5 to allow teachers time to complete their final tasks and focus on preparing for 2020-21.**

May 27, 2020 update
If we have been in communication regarding work you need to submit, this message is for you. My employer and administrator have communicated the following information. PLEASE NOTE:

  • On-line learning ends on June 5th.

  • All work that has been assigned for at-risk students and credit recovery is due no later than Friday, June 12th.
A number of you have been working on these overdue assessments since April. It's time to get those items in.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Time is ticking!

I hope you're all doing well.
